The submission of papers for various award categories at IAPSMCON 2025 will open from 1st November 2024 to 15th January 2025.
These awards serves to recognize and celebrate outstanding research contributions by young researchers from IAPSM community in the field of public health.
We invite all authors to submit their finest work (Full-length original research paper) for consideration in the "Award Paper" category, only via this portal.
A distinguished panel of experts approved by IAPSM head office will review all the submissions and shortlist top 3 papers from each category based on their originality, significance, and impact on the field.
First authors of the shortlisted papers will present at the "Award Paper Session" during the conference.
Submissions must be original and should not be previously published or submitted to another conference or journal.
Submissions are accepted for the following four award categories
The "Award Paper category" is open to all the Life Members of IAPSM registered for the conference.
Only one submission per category will be accepted.
Same paper should not be submitted for more than one award category.
Submissions received after 15th January 2025 will not be entertained.
The short listed nominees for the award paper session will be informed by the Organizing Secretary of the Conference.
One winner from each category will be awarded a Certificate at the valedictory function of the Conference.
The Awardees will have to be present in person to receive the Award (no in-absentia presentation is made).
Size and Orientation: The poster should be A0 size (33.1 x 46.8 inches) and portrait oriented. Landscape orientation will not be accepted.
Content Organization:
1. Title: The title should be clear, concise, and legible from a distance (recommended font-size: 70–100 points).
2. Authors and Affiliations: Provide the names and affiliations of all contributing authors and the presenting author.
3. Abstract: The abstract should be unstructured and should not exceed 250 words.
4. Introduction/Background: Include a brief background, objectives, or problem statement.
5. Methods: Provide a summary of the methods used, including study design, population, and data collection methods.
6. Results: Use visual aids like graphs, tables, and charts to present your results clearly.
7. Conclusion: Highlight the key findings, implications, and recommendations for public health practice or policy.
8. Acknowledgements and References: Mention any collaborators or funders and include references if necessary.
Font and Text guidelines:
1. Font Size:Title: 70–100 points
Section Headings: 40–60 points
Body Text: 24–32 points
Captions: 18–24 points
2. Font Type:Use simple, clear fonts such as Arial, Helvetica, or Times New Roman for readability.
3. Spacing: Ensure that your text is not too crowded. Leave enough white space for easy reading and a clean look.
4. Graphics and Visuals:Use high-resolution images, graphs, and charts to make the poster visually engaging.
5. Colours: Choose colours that contrast well to improve readability. Avoid too many bright or clashing colours.
6. Alignment: Ensure that text and visuals are properly aligned and that the flow of information is logical.
A structured abstract should be submitted with the following headings: Title, Authors, Presenting author, Affiliation, Background and Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Word limit: 400 words. (Please don’t exceed the word limit. Abstracts exceeding the word limit will not be considered for presentation)
A PowerPoint presentation should be prepared with a maximum of 11 slides. The presenting author must arrive at the scheduled place 30 minutes before the scheduled time. The presenting author will be given 5 minutes to present their research paper, followed by a 2-minute Q&A session.
Please note that the presentation must finish within the stipulated time, and no extension will be granted.
